The Dreamcatcher

I am currently reading The Alchemist and as it focuses on the dreams of the characters in the story, I began thinking of them in general as well. We all have dreams, both large and small. Like seeing the Aurora Borealis or devoting a lifetime to healing the sick. But for some of us, we don’t know what our true Dream is. We don’t know what we want to do with our lives.

Some dreams are elusive like the wind and they’re personal as well - in a way, like winged letters. But how would we find them or them us?

What if there was someone who’s responsibility it was to catch them? To ride the winds of imagination in a worthy little airship and seek out these drifting dreams. Once captured in his net, they are brought to the border that separates the realms of Reality and Imagination and released to plant a seedling in the mind. Each dream reveals a window of possibility for their owner but it is up to him or her to open it.
