Battle Dragons!

Yes, I am doing what I swore never to do again!

I am making minute scales (if you're thinking 'sucker!!!!', I agree) except it's for a drake and it's smaller than the Kendro bust. Ahh, hours of tedious tiny ball making....at least I don't need to worry about limbs.

I'm not sure what to do about eyes and wings though....

First sale, first sale, FIRST SALE!!!

I so happy *bliss*

Two items have been snatched up - the Amazon bracelet and the Little Boy Blue brooch - by a lovely lady at work (she has very good taste). And I think I will use the money to buy my parents lunch this Sunday.

Anyway, I'd better remove them from my etsy site so toodles all!

I've finally set up my shop on etsy.com and though I've only listed three things so far, I feel quite happy. They may not sell but never mind. At the moment I'm only selling within the UK as postage to places abroad is expensive if you want to include insurance. Also as a first time etsy user, it makes using the site less complicated.

I'll add things gradually and when everything's ready, start advertising! (And nagging friends about spreading the news) Until then, I'd better get more stuff on the site.

Whoohoo!

Last Sunday was amazing.

I logged onto DA and discovered I had 85 messages - at least 60 of that was comments, watches and favourites. I had to keep looking at that number to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

And to top it all off, I was featured on Daily Deviants! [link]

With all the lovely comments and favourites I just wanted to say that yes, it's all my own work but just to be clear/fair, my creations were inspired by a book (on dragons!) by Christie Friesen. While I didn't follow her instructions, her tips were useful and her work inspirational.

Most importantly of all, thanks to everyone who commented, added my work to their favourites or me to their friends!

EDIT:

And I've been featured again by the wonderful

OK boys, I need an honest answer

We moved offices a few months ago and my manager asked for some things to help organise her cupboards including 8 magazine racks/boxes. These are plastic containers that allow you to slot A4 documents into and stands upright like a folder. I got some new ones from the Stationery section and some old ones as I hate the idea of just binning them and ordering new ones.

My manager didn't like the manky old different coloured ones so I started to find newer ones in our communal cupboards to swap them around. I had managed to swap two when I noticed that the last old one had a web which was also accompanied by the largest spider I've seen in donkeys.

At this time I started making 'gahh' noises so Tracy came over and I explained the problem. She was most sympathetic but as she also wasn't that keen on them, she wasn't of much help. In fact no one in my team was. Ian's response was to say it's dead and knock the box around until he was proven wrong. His solution, as we girls were quite adamant that this was a man's job, was to bin it.

Not the brightest of ideas. If Linda hadn't come along I don't know what we'd have done. She disappeared with the box and then came back with it minus the spider. She later confessed to flushing it down the toilet but she defended herself saying that it could swim. And she knew that because 'it was doing this'. She then balanced on one leg and demonstrated froggy style breast stroke with her remaining limbs. And my manager then told me she didn't want any more of those magazine racks.

My question to you three, and you know who you are, is if you were faced by this giant demon spider and you were the only man in a team of ten, what would you do?

I can't wait to hear this.
